• Furniture Making & Fretwork • Roy and Ali Stenning
Alison and Roy have been running workshops for some 10 years, including
tutoring at Denman College and Missenden Abbey. Students can select
from a wide range of projects and are encouraged to telephone beforehand
to discuss their aims and any special skills they would like to develop.
All experience levels are welcomed. A range of power tools will be
available and students are welcome to bring any items of their own
that they enjoy using.
There is no special theme for the course but we do find that producing
Tudor designs introduces a wide range of techniques that can be developed
later on. Hopefully everyone will make one fretwork item (Allison's
speciality). The aim of the weekend is to enjoy learning and producing
in good company as well as leaving, thinking "yes, it is easier
than I thought". Please do telephone at least two weeks before
the course, or even before you book, to make sure that we meet your
wishes.
